Monday we had the in-service. The teachers are very against TEI. It is strange being in the room with all the teachers that are against what our program is about. They do not understand what good can come from it. Myths run wild through the teacher lounge. The video tried to refute many of those myths, but the teachers were still in disbelief. I do not know how accepting they will be next year.
Tuesday-Thursday we had normal days. There were not many interruptions in the classroom. The Black History program seems to be coming along. I have not done any teaching, because Mrs. Smith is finishing Era 7. I have World War II planned and ready. I am excited to get back to teaching.
This afternoon my fourth period class is not going to be meeting. They have a Junior class meeting. All of my students are Juniors.
Today I got an email from Danielle saying she had a meeting with Kingsbury Middle principal. I decided to go, because I missed the meet and greet. I worry that I am behind the others because of that. They all know the principals and have been invited into these schools. I see the only way to get in to a school would be tagging along with their meetings.
